Toxoplasma gondii in pork and pigs in Serbia – a real food safety hazard

Abstract Infection with the apicomplexan protozoon Toxoplasma gondii is one of most prevalent parasitic zoonotic infections globally, existing seroprevalences varying between continents, countries, and even within countries individual communities.
